TRIBUTE TO REVEREND BRIAN WEAVER

 

It was with great sadness that I learnt of Brian's death while I was on holiday. It must be God's grace that I saw Brian and Jacqui just before I went. I never thought for a second it would be the last time I would see him. Brian has been incredibly encouraging to me since I arrived as Vicar. A man of great integrity, with a deep faith in a Lord whom he knew loved him. He had a wonderful ministry, deeply caring for those under his pastoral care. I have listened to his sermons and you can just tell how much work he put into them. They were always challenging and thought provoking. We have been incredibly blessed to come under his continued ministry since he came to us at St. Peter's in 2006. We shall all miss him, without exception. Our comfort lies in the certain knowledge his place is with his Lord in heaven. I can just imagine Jesus' words to him, as he arrived. "Well done, my good and faithful servant". Our prayers and condolences continue to go to Jacqui, Duncan, Lucy, Susan and Richard. Blessings to you all at this time.
